Belong France, Terms and Conditions

Effective July 2026

Acceptance

By downloading or using Belong France you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Belong France is made by Jordi Fakiani López, a sole trader based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What Belong France is

Belong France is a personal tracker. It helps you see your own distance to French nationality by organising the information you enter against published rules, and it splits that distance into the part you control and the part you do not.

Belong France is not legal advice

This is the most important term. Belong France is an information tool, not a lawyer and not an authority. The estimates, dates and statuses it shows are based on published rules as of a stated date. Those rules change, sometimes with little notice and sometimes in ways that affect applications already in progress. Belong France can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Nothing in the app is legal advice and nothing in it is a promise about whether or when you will qualify for nationality or residence. Before you make any decision, verify your situation with the responsible authority. In France that is your préfecture, whose naturalisation platform receives and examines applications, the Ministère de l'Intérieur, which decides naturalisation by decree published in the Journal officiel, service-public.fr for the official rules and procedures, the OFII and your préfecture for residence matters, and France Éducation International or the CCI Paris Île-de-France for the language tests and the civic exam. You can also speak with a qualified adviser or an immigration lawyer. You use Belong France at your own risk and you are responsible for any decision you make.

Subscriptions

No warranty

Belong France is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, current or free of errors, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted. The rules it reflects are summaries of complex law and they are not a substitute for the official sources.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Jordi Fakiani López is not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of Belong France or from any reliance on the information it shows, including any decision about residence, nationality, travel, work or money. Your sole remedy if you are unhappy with the app is to stop using it and cancel any subscription.

Acceptable use

Use Belong France for your own personal, lawful purposes. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app or its content.

Intellectual property

Belong France, its name, design and content are owned by Jordi Fakiani López. These terms do not give you any ownership of the app. The announcements shown on the News tab are official publications of Service-Public.fr, published by the Direction de l'information légale et administrative (DILA) and reused under the etalab-2.0 open licence with source attribution, and each one links to the original at service-public.gouv.fr.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Denmark. If you use Belong France as a consumer, this does not remove the protection of any mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
